Why CBD may not be working for you?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a nonpsychoactive component found in the Cannabis plant. It’s being researched for many possible medical benefits, and unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), this active compound doesn’t get you “high.”

People are using it to help manage a number of ailments, including:

You have heard some people talking how CBD has changed their lives, but you tried and it didn’t work for you. So before you give up on it and tell your CBD-obsessed friends that they’re full of it, check to see if any of the following reasons apply to you.

1. Poor quality = poor results

Unfortunately, not all CBD products are created equal, and it’s important what's in the product.

Several studies have shown that well-known brands have little to no CBD in them.

How do you, the consumer, know that the CBD product actually contains what the label says?

You want to look at Certificate of Analysis, also know as a COA. These should be easy to find on the company’s website. These are third party tests that verify the product’s label and prove the amount of CBD and other products and that doesn’t contain harmful level of substances like molds, pesticides, or even heavy metals.

When you are looking at label look for potency of CBD, as you look for potency of vitamin. Do not consider CBD oil if it’s less than 5% of CBD in the bottle. For example, 1oz should have 1500mg of CBD or more. If more that is much better.


2. Right AMOUNT for YOU

Often, a friend or family member will tell you how much to take, but everybody’s different. We metabolize natural products like caffeine differently, and the same goes for hemp extracts.

You might increase or even decrease, the amount you’re taking. We all have an internal regulating system known as endocannabinoid system. These affects and modulates several physiological processes in the body like pain, digestion, mood and the immune and nervous system, just to name a few.


Some of people like to take CBD oil in the morning, some of them at the night, before sleep. Some of them like to take micro dosing during the day, 4-5 times a day small doses. You need to find what best work for you.

3. Unrealistic expectations

Often, when you first start taking CBD, you have unrealistic expectations. You assume it’s gonna work immidiately. And for some people , it does. But, for others, it takes time to work in your body. So, don’t be surprised if you don’t see results in the first week.

Our organism is restoring, using CBD oil. It’s like a recovery time, trying to put in a balance again our body and mind. That is not possible overnight, it takes time.


4. Interactions with other products

When you start taking CBD, think about how it could interact with other products. Consider spacing out the time between taking CBD and other medications or other products.


5. It’s not the best form for you

Depending on your needs, there are many ways to take CBD. For example, if you are feeling stressed, a topical may not be the right choice for you and you might consider more than one product.

Tinctures are the most universally. Because our food is our fuel. What we eat, it affects on our performance, mood, energy level. That is the same with tincture or oil.
Taking ingestible CBD oil, it can keep our immune system strong, balance our body and mind, good sleep and good mood.

Getting CBD to work takes time, patience, and research

CBD isn’t as well-researched or regulated as many other treatment options like prescription medications, and people within the industry are still trying to narrow down the best practices for taking it.

But one thing’s for sure: It’s not as simple as taking some standard dosage and seeing immediate results. It takes time, patience, and ongoing research to find the right brand, dosage, and delivery method for you.

Which means the process can also get pricey — as you might have to buy products from several different companies over the course of several months before you find what works.

So before you give up on CBD altogether, use the above reasons as a check list to figure out why CBD isn’t working for you.
